Using Tools for Articulation Disorders



Some children have a hard time correctly producing speech sounds because they are using  their articulators (tongue, lips, teeth, etc.) incorrectly. This is what it means to have an articulation disorder. When the articulators are not placed in the proper location, speech sounds are produced incorrectly which causes the speaker to become less understandable to their listeners, or unintelligible. There are many therapy strategies to help correct articulation disorders. One of them requires the use of tools or "Speech Buddies".
